Limo Rental Policies regarding no/shows

The most upsetting scenario for a limousine chauffeur and to the company owner is when a client no/show. A no show is when a customer no longer needs the limousine service or finds a cheaper limousine service and does not cancel the service he/she booked with the limousine service. These scenarios tend to have an ugly outcome considering most limousine service will not instruct the driver to leave the location until one hour after the time the client booked the vehicle( thus giving the customer the benefit of the doubt). After the hour has elapsed the driver is sent back to the garage and sometimes this jeopardizes their second trip. In this scenario customers can expect to be charged for the entire trip, along with additional waiting time incurred, tolls, parking etc.

What happens if the Limo company had the wrong date?

This is a very likely scenario that can occur and has occurred to every single limousine service that I personally know of. And the only way to avoid these issues is to obtain a confirmation number for the ride that you arranged along with a fax or e-mail of the itinerary. Once you receive this information, carefully review that the representative did not make any errors on your booking. Things such as (date, time, am or pm, vehicle type, cost, flight information , airport, even the spelling of your name) all these details are crucial for things to go as planned. Also, request a toll free number from the service you are contracting, if you can not find your limousine call the office to see what the hold up could be. Many of times there have been justifiable reasons why the driver is not there or your driver may be right around the corner or behind the bus but you just cant see him. Follow these steps and you'll have a hassle free ride.

Last minute cancellations.

Depending on the policy of the service most last minute cancellations are usually considered to be billable from 2 hours prior for sedans up to two weeks prior for stretch limousines (wedding, proms etc). Under these circumstance service provider can determine what the rate for a last minute cancellation will be. It is you right as a consumer to retrieve in writing what these terms are. If a service has been arranged for you chances are the limousine service has declined other interested clients from renting that limousine at the date and time you chose. If you need to cancel your reservation within ample notice of the company you contracted, make sure to retrieve the name of the representative and a cancellation number or verbal assurance that the ride will not be billed.
